I am a qualified Integrative Art Psychotherapist. This means that, as well as being trained in all the relevant theories used in talking therapy, I also use the arts and metaphor within my practice.
I work in a strongly relational way, adapting my approach to suit the specific needs of the individual, offering a consistent relationship where other relationships may be or have been neglectful, absent or abusive, and aiming to be a ‘supportive other’ rather than the ‘expert’ who knows best.
I have experience of working with a broad client base - from people struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD or addiction to survivors of serious childhood trauma.
Whatever has happened in a person’s life, I believe everyone has the potential for growth and personal transformation and aim to facilitate change by working to bring limiting self-beliefs into awareness in order to challenge them, consider how these beliefs might be affecting present experience and help illuminate possibilities for choice.
